Location of the Dease River |
The Dease River is a tributary of the Great Bear Lake in the Northwest Territories and in the territory of Nunavut in Canada .
It has its origin in Lac Rouvière in the Nunavut territory. From there it flows in a predominantly southwestern direction into the Northwest Territories to the Dease Arm Bay of the Great Bear Lake, into which it flows. At the mouth is the location of Fort Confidence , a former trading post of the Hudson's Bay Company . The Dease River has a length of 120 km.
