Debbie Klijn (born December 29, 1975 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) is a former Dutch handball player .

Debbie Klijn moved in 1999 from the Dutch club Swift Roermond to Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen , with whom she won the DHB Cup in 2002. In 2004 the goalkeeper moved to the league rivals Frankfurt Handball Club , for which she was active for two years. She then moved to the Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro , which she left shortly after the start of the season to join the injury- ridden Buxtehuder SV . After the 2010/11 season, she ended her career. In March 2012, Klijn returned again for a DHB Cup game in the goal of the BSV.

She made 112 appearances for the Dutch national team. With the Dutch selection, she finished fifth at the 2005 World Cup in Russia.

Klijn has been a goalkeeper coach at Buxtehuder SV since February 2012. She later worked as a goalkeeper coach for the upper division VfL Stade. Klijn also acted as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for the Dutch national team. Since January 2018 she has been in charge of goalkeeper training for the German women's national team .
