Debi Sue Voorhees

Deborah Sue Voorhees (born July 28, 1961 in Dallas ) is an American actress , film producer and director .

Life

Voorhees was born in Dallas in 1961 . She graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Even during her studies, she was a Playboy Bunny in the Playboy Club in her hometown.

From 1982 to 1986 she played several minor roles in films and television series, including a multi-episode role in Dallas and a major role in Friday the 13th - A New Beginning . From the mid-1980s she worked as a teacher for literature, English and journalism at high schools in Texas and New Mexico . She was fired because of some nude scenes in her films.

Voorhees then worked as a journalist for The Dallas Morning News . She also wrote a novel and the autobiographically inspired comic book Diary of a Mad School Teacher .

In 2012, Voorhees wrote the screenplay for the feature film Billy Shakespeare , which she also directed and took on a role. For the film, she founded her own production company, Voorhees Films.

She was married to Richard S. Bradley.
