The Decemhieb near Altenfeld in the Thuringian Ilm district is 742.8  m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Thuringian Slate Mountains . The Decemhieb is limited by the Massertal in the south and by the village of Altenfeld in the north.

On the northern slope of the mountain there is a ski lift and the Albert Schweitzer refuge , which is used as a base for the Altenfeld mountain rescue service .

Secondary peaks of the Decemhieb are:

• the Fleckberg (731 m),
• the Oelzer Rain (697 m) and
• the Steinfels (580 m)
