Del Harris (born July 13, 1969 in Colchester ) is a former English squash player . In 1995 he became vice world champion.

Career

Del Harris became Junior World Champion in 1988 after beating Anthony Hill in five sets . In 1987 and again in 1989 he won the British championships. He celebrated his greatest successes in the seasons 1995 and 1996. In 1995 he was in the final of the World Cup , which he lost to Jansher Khan with 15:10, 17:14, 16:17 and 15: 8. The following year he reached the final of the Super Series , which he won against Brett Martin . With the English national team , Del Harris won the World Championships in 1995 and 1997 . He defeated Zarak Jahan Khan in his finals in 1995from Pakistan and in 1997 the Canadian Graham Ryding . With England he also took part in the World Championships in 1989 and 1991 and was European champion seven times . His best placement in the world rankings was fifth in March 1996. During his career, he won two titles on the PSA World Tour .
