Delny ( Gaelic : Deilgnidh ) is a village in the Scottish Council Area Highland . It is located about three miles north-northwest of Invergordon near the coast of the Cromarty Firth in the traditional Scottish county of Ross-shire . The A9 , which connects Stirling with Thurso , runs a short distance south of Delny and connects the village to the trunk road network.
