Denis Kozev (born September 8, 1998 in Nahariya ) is an Israeli ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Seattle Totems in the Western States Hockey League since 2018.

Career

Denis Kozev, who comes from the northern Israeli city of Naharija on the Mediterranean Sea, began his career as an ice hockey player with HC Ma'alot , for whom he made his debut in the Israeli league at the age of 15 . In 2016 he moved to the United States, where he spent a year with the Billing Bulls from the third-rate junior league NA3HL. After spending the 2017/18 season at HC Ma'alot again, he has been playing for the Seattle Totems in the Western State Hockey League since 2018.

International

In the junior division, Daniel Kozev and the Israeli youngsters took part in the U18 World Championships in 2014 , 2015 and 2016 and the U20 World Championships in 2016 , when he achieved the best plus / minus balance of the tournament, in 2017 and 2018 in Division III.

Kozev first played with the men's national team in November 2015 at the qualifying tournament for the 2016 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . He also played in Division II at the 2018 World Cup .
