Denis Rodier

Denis Rodier (* 1963) is an American comic book artist and painter.

Life and work

Rodier, who mainly concentrates on revising the pencil drawings of other artists as a so-called Inker with Indian ink, began working as a full-time comic artist in 1986. Since then he has mainly worked for major American publishers such as DC Comics , Marvel Comics and Milestone Media.

The series on which Rodier mainly worked as an ink draftsman, in rare cases also as a pencil draftsman (then mainly as a draftsman for cover pictures) include Action Comics , Adventures of Superman , Challengers of the Unknown , The Demon , Hawkman , LEGION , New Gods and Wonder Woman . Draftsmen whose work Rodier has revised as an ink draftsman include Kieron Dwyer , Steve Epting , Jackson Guice , Tom Grummett , Bob McLeod and Val Semeiks . A particularly frequent artistic partner of Rodier was the colorist Glenn Whitmore .

As a painter, Rodier has contributed illustrations for publications such as Newstime Magazine and Arzach Made in USA, as well as painted covers for comics such as The Demon .

Rodier, who lives in Quebec, also works as a designer for private clients such as Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel Band), Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson) and Suzanne Vega .
