Denise Klecker

Denise Klecker (born January 26, 1972 in Mainz ) is a German hockey player . She plays in defense. She was a gold medalist at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , for which she was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on March 16, 2005.

Career

In 1985 Denise Klecker represented the German colors on the artificial turf for the first time. She played for TSV Schott Mainz until 1989 , after which she moved to the Bundesliga as a central defender for Rüsselsheim RK . From the youth national team, she made the leap to the juniors at the age of 18 and then finally got the first official international match with the German women's national hockey team in 1995 , where she was considered the team's penalty corner specialist . Since 2006 she has been training the hockey kids at HV Schwenningen .

Denise Klecker is a qualified pedagogue specializing in special education .
