The monument at Kub ( English Monument at Kub ) is a war memorial on Farm Voigtskub not far from Kalkrand in the Hardap region in Namibia . This has been a national monument of Namibia since November 1st, 1968 .
The monument was built to commemorate the seven fallen German soldiers of the uprising of the Herero and Nama built on 22 November 1904th At the time, Kub was a flourishing settlement which, among other things, housed the country's first Afrikaans school. A memorial plaque reminds of this (since 1953). There is also a cemetery for Boers and German soldiers.
