Preservation of monuments in Baden-Wuerttemberg is a free trade journal of the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments in Baden-Wuerttemberg with articles from the areas of building and art monument preservation , archaeological monument preservation and restoration .
history
The completed predecessor magazine was published from 1958 to 1970 under the title of the News Gazette of the Preservation of Monuments in Baden-Württemberg - Organ of the State Offices for the Preservation of Monuments by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture at the time . This summarized previously existing individual publications, such as the news sheet for public culture and heritage in the administrative district of South Baden .
The magazine has been published quarterly since 1972, currently with a circulation of 25,000 copies. The publisher is the acting head of the State Office for Monument Preservation. All editions since 1972 can be called up in full text in the online archive free of charge. Since 1990, the magazine has been accompanied by the current eight-page supplement Denkmalstiftung Baden-Württemberg about the activities of the foundation.
In April 2014, the journal with the older volumes was set up on the portal of the Heidelberg University Library and is available there in open access.
subjects
As a rule, all articles refer to the state of Baden-Württemberg . In addition to essays on monuments in their entirety, individual architectural and art monuments, small monuments and ground monuments , articles in particular present exhibitions, monument conservation, restoration and archaeological methods. In the back of the magazine you will find book reviews , publication and exhibition information as well as personal details of the monument preservation. An annual table of contents from the previous year is included in the first issue of each year.
