Denmark Township is a township in Tuscola County in the US state of Michigan . In 2000 it had 3249 inhabitants.

In the far north-west of the township on the east-west running M-81 is Reese ; a small part of the Villages but extends into the in Saginaw County lying Blum Township inside. The unincorporated village of Richville is in the southwest of the township, at the intersection of the M-15 and M-46 . Two formerly important railway lines of the former Penn Central , which converge at the Denmark Junction railway junction , also run through the township . In Reese, one of these lines crosses with a line of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway , with a connecting curve from the direction of Vassar towards Bay Port .

According to the United States Census Bureau , the predominantly agricultural Denmark Township has an area of ​​91.3  km² , which consists entirely of land. The township is crossed by numerous drainage ditches. The Cheboyganing Creek drains the southwest of the township.

The neighboring townships are clockwise starting in the north, Gilford Township , Fairgrove Township , Junata Township , Vassar Township , Tuscola Township , Frankenmuth Township , Blumfield Township, and Merritt Township .

At the time of the United States Census 2000, Denmark Township was inhabited by 3,249 people. The population density was 35.6 people per km ². There were 1327 housing units at an average of 14.5 per km ². The population Denmark townships consisted of 97.01% of White , 0.03% Black or African American , 0.18% Native American , 1.23% Asian , 0% Pacific Islander , 0.55% said other races to belong and 0.98% named two or more races. 2.43% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
