Quarter

Dennery

Dennery is the capital of Quarters (District) Dennery in the east of the small island nation of St. Lucia .

geography

The main town of the quarter is on the east coast of St. Lucia, directly on the Atlantic and east of the Morne Panache . The place lies on a promontory between the mouths of the Fond d'Or and the Dennery River , which gives the place its name and on whose flood plain the place lies. The rivers flow into the Fond D'Or Bay and Dennery Bay . In the latter bay there is also the uninhabited Dennery Island (Skorpion Island). The place has been flooded several times in the past and the river carried high bacterial concentrations at times.

Dennery also has a road to the Errard recreational area inland with the Treetop Adventure and Sault Falls .
