history
The village was founded in 1786 and was officially called Novoselzy until the 20th century . It was the seat of a Volost and belonged to the Ujesd Alexandrov , which belonged to various governorates and oblasts as a result of frequent administrative restructuring in the region , from 1847 finally to the governorate of Stavropol .
After the dissolution of the governorate and the Ujesde in 1924, Novoselizkoje initially belonged to the newly formed Alexandrowski rajon, until the new Novoselizki rajon was detached from this on 23 January 1935 and Novoselizkoje became its administrative seat. During the Second World War , Novoselitskoye was captured by the German Wehrmacht in mid-August 1942 as part of their Edelweiss operation and recaptured by the Red Army on January 13, 1943 during the North Caucasian Operation .
In 1958 the Rajon was temporarily re-included in the Alexandrowski rajon until it was expelled again on April 3, 1972.
