Dennis Mengoy Cagara (born February 19, 1985 in Glostrup ) is a Danish - Filipino football player who acts as a left full-back and is rarely used as a defensive midfielder .

Career

society

Cagara signed his first professional contract in 2003 with Brøndby IF , where he made his professional debut on October 10, 2002 at the age of 17. During the winter break of the 2003/04 season , he moved to Hertha BSC . From there he was loaned to Dynamo Dresden during the 2005/06 season, where he was used in 28 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and twice in the DFB Cup . In the 2006/07 season Cagara was back in the squad of Berlin, but came to no further use.

In August 2007 he moved back to FC Nordsjælland . In January 2010 he then moved to Aarhus GF on a free transfer . From July 2010 he was without a club before signing a contract with Randers FC in March 2011 . After his contract expired in the summer of 2011, he moved after relegation to the first division club Lyngby BK . In January 2012, Cagara moved to the German second division club FSV Frankfurt . After he was only used five times in the 15 remaining games of the season by coach Benno Möhlmann, his contract, which was limited to the end of the season, was not extended. For the 2012/13 season he moved to Karlsruher SC . There his contract was terminated in early September 2013, after which he moved back to Lyngby BK.

National team

Cagara went through all youth teams of the Danish Football Association . However, Cagara decided in 2011 to play for the Philippine national soccer team in the future.

Private

Cagara has a Filipino father and a Danish mother. He has a son (* 2003) with his wife Natashia. His older brother is the Danish entertainer, singer and presenter Sunny Cagara.
