Dennis Henschel
Dennis Henschel (born August 1, 1984 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German singer (high baritone / tenor ) and musical performer .
Life
Dennis Henschel was born in Gelsenkirchen in 1984 and trained as a police officer.
He then took singing lessons from Noelle Turner, Pamela Falcon and Christian Heckelsmüller and acting lessons from Roland Riebeling and dance lessons from Nivaldo Allves.
He gained his first stage experience at Zero Tolerance in Essen. He then worked at the Theater an der Niebuhrg in Oberhausen and at the Movie Park in Bottrop.
Other engagements included Jesus Christ Superstar , the Phantom of the Opera Tour and Into the woods in Aachen.
His path led him to Fulda, where he took on several roles in the successful musical Die Päpstin and was part of the cast of the world premiere of Kolping's dream as Karl Wagner.
At the world premiere of The Miracle of Bern , in the specially built Theater an der Elbe in Hamburg, he was seen in the ensemble and later as Helmut Rahn.
He also played the captain and Axel von Staudach in the Theater an der Elbe in Udo Juergens' musical I have never been to New York , after which he could be seen as a riff in Bernstein's musical West Side Story in Hanover.
He keeps returning to Fulda, for example in 2018 and 2019 as Gerold in the musical, the Popess .
He also plays the role of Gerolds and Anastasius in Benjamin Sahler's production of the Popess in the Neue Gebläsehalle Neunkirchen and in Ludwig's Festspielhaus Füssen .
There he has also played the role of the hit man, the shadow man, in Ludwig² since 2018 .
