Dennis McCarthy (composer)

Dennis McCarthy (* 1945 ) is a composer of film music and theme songs for television series who has won two Emmy awards and has been nominated for him several times.

His works include the theme tune and other pieces of music for the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as well as music for Starship Enterprise: The Next Century , Star Trek: Raumschiff Voyager , Star Trek: Enterprise , V - The extraterrestrial visitors are coming , The Twilight Zone ( 1985 reissue), Parker Lewis , MacGyver , Sliders, and Dawson's Creek .

He has provided music for the films Night of the Demon , Off the Wall , McHale's Navy (1997 remake), Dying to Live , Letters from a Killer and Star Trek: Gathering of Generations .

McCarthy also produced Ol 'Yellow Eyes Is Back with Star Trek colleague Brent Spiner .

McCarthy won a total of 18 ASCAP Awards, an Emmy and nine other nominations for his various Star Trek work and an Emmy for music at the 63rd Academy Awards .
