Dennis Rieth (born September 10, 1964 ) is a former German professional footballer. The offensive player played three Bundesliga games for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 1983/84 season .

career

Rieth came from Eintracht Frankfurt's own youth department , which was very successful in the 1980s. Dennis Rieth was one of the A-Juniors who won the German championship in 1982 and 1983 . He played there with Hans-Jürgen Gundelach , Harald Krämer , Uwe Müller , Thomas Berthold , Bernhard Trares , Thomas Klepper , Armin Kraaz and Manfred Binz , among others . He was also used in September 1982 in three international matches against Finland, Norway and Denmark in the youth national team of the DFB.

Because of his achievements, he was brought into the professional squad of Eintracht by Branko Zebec , which at the time increasingly gave young talent a chance. However, Rieth could not prevail and only came to three league appearances. He was substituted on in the three matches in September 1983 against Fortuna Düsseldorf (3-0), in the local derby on September 10 against Kickers Offenbach (1: 2) and the goalless home draw against Werder Bremen in the second half. After the 1983/84 season he went back to the amateur field. For the 1985/86 season he joined SV Sandhausen in the amateur league of Baden-Württemberg. Under coach Slobodan Jovanić the SVS finished 4th and Rieth had scored two goals in 22 league appearances alongside teammates such as Erwin Rupp , Rüdiger Menges , Gerd Dais and Bernd Nathmann . After one lap, he moved back to Frankfurt.

There he subsequently played for Rot-Weiss Frankfurt (1986 to December 1987), SV 1919 Bernbach (from January 1988) and as a player-coach at VfB Oberndorf (November 1996 to 2000) and Germania Wächtersbach (from 2000).
