Denny Ihle (born December 16, 1984 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German speed skater .
Denny Ihle starts for the Chemnitz skater community . He was trained first by Henry Taube , then by Heiko Walther until June 2004 and since then by Klaus Ebert . He is the brother of one year younger Nico Ihle , who is also active as a speed skater .
In the World Cup Ihle debuted at start of season 2006/07 in the Dutch Heerenveen . So far he has only run once in the A group, but has already celebrated considerable success in the B group. He won the German championship over 100 meters in 2007 and 2008, in 2009 he finished second. He won the 500 meter title in 2013, and was third in 2007, 2011 and 2012. He also took second place in the sprint four-way battle in 2012 and 2013. There is also a title at the German Junior Championships and another eight podium places.
On January 19, 2013, he exceeded his brother's German record at the World Cup race in Calgary over 500 meters with 34.90 s , making him the first German to stay under 35 seconds over this distance.
Ihle is a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr sports promotion group in Frankenberg, Saxony .
