The Dental Spiegel (logo spelling since March 2001 dental: spiegel ) is a German dental journal for dental practices , the dental industry and trade, published and published by f4 Media GmbH & Co.KG in Munich .

development

The magazine was the first publication in 1981 by today's FranzMedien publishing group, founded at the time as Franz Werbe- und Verlagsgesellschaft  mbH .

In the beginning, the magazine named after the dental mirror with an original focus on product information and company portraits appeared twice a year. Competing journals in this area limited themselves to the publication of advertisements at the time .

The dental: mirror, on the other hand, was intended to offer a forum for the exchange between dentists, customers and industry companies. The code number system used by the publisher was soon adopted as the standard, while the magazine became known throughout Germany in specialist circles, and then also on a European level. In Austria , in South Tyrol , in Alsace and in the Benelux countries the so-called and specified “Edition West” appeared and in Hungary , Czechoslovakia and Poland the “Edition East”. After the reunification of Germany , a clientele-oriented edition appeared for dentists in the so-called " new federal states ".

Clientele-specific issues for dental technicians appeared again and again . In 1992 the East and West issues were merged. In 1995, the publishing house's first training event for dentists and employees of the “Dental Spiegel Forum” series was held at the publishing house in the Isar City Palace in the Ludwigsvorstadt district . Since 1998 the magazine has concentrated on the three main areas of “ Business & Law ”, “User Reports” and “ Public Relations ”.
