Mříč Depot I
The Mříč Depot I (also Hortfund I from Mříč ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Mříč , a district of Křemže in Jihočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. The remaining part of the depot is now in the South Bohemian Museum in Budweis .
Find history
The depot was discovered in 1946 southeast of Mříč on the spur-like hill Dívčí Kámen above the confluence of the Křemžský potok with the Vltava . It was at a depth of 60-80 cm. A settlement from the final phase of the Aunjetitz culture and the Middle Bronze Age was located here . In the Middle Ages one was here castle built. In 1960 a further depot of the Aunjetitz culture was found just a little north .
composition
The depot originally consisted of 45 bronze arm rings . Only one of these has survived. According to Václav Moucha , however, it is a mountain of legs . The ring has spirals at its ends and is 170 mm high.
