Beck GmbH is a large-scale bakery in Erlangen that is one of the 4% of German bakeries with a turnover of more than 5 million euros. From the Tennenloh bakery Ziegler, founded in 1895, under the management of Petra and Siegfried Beck, the founders' grandchildren, a large-scale bakery with over 150 branches (as of 2018) in the Erlangen , Nuremberg , Fürth , Neumarkt , Forchheim and area developed Bamberg .

The company sources raw materials from the region. With its subsidiary Mr. Bleck Coffeeshop and the Casa Pane brand (4 branches), Der Beck operates several system catering establishments in the Nuremberg metropolitan region . The company Der Beck GmbH made a turnover of 25.2 million euros in 2010 with the stand-up cafés alone.

In June 2017 it became known that there were several hygiene complaints in the company between 2013 and 2016.

The Children's Fund Foundation founded by Petra Beck has existed since 1998 and was renamed the Alexander Beck Children's Fund Foundation in 2017 following the fatal accident of Alexander Beck . In the Beck branches there are donation boxes at the cash registers.

Awards

The Leipzig Oskar Patzelt Foundation chose the bakery The Beck GmbH in 2009 in Würzburg with the Grand Prix of the middle class in 2009 .
