action

Emma is 11 years old and is about to have a liver and intestinal transplant. But when the doctors find another viral disease, the effectiveness of the operation is questioned and the liver is to be used for the old, former alcoholic Wolfgang Fuchs. Dr. Gruber knows that waiting for a new opportunity could endanger Emma's life. So he goes to see Mr. Fuchs. Emma's mother Katja also tries to find the new recipient, which she manages. But she is not very friendly towards him.

Later, frustrated by the mother's unobjective confrontations, he starts drinking again, one day before the planned operation. He is aware of this and also of the fact that he can save a little girl's life by not having surgery, and he likes this girl as soon as he sees her. This is another reason why the organs can still be used for Emma.

Martin's daughter Lilli is now working in Martin's practice, which Hans, who wants to see her on their farm, doesn't like. Martin and Hans accuse each other of trying to convince Lilli of her job by all means. Hans turns down Peter's offer to take a full-time position as a mountain guide in order to be able to look after the farm better, while Anne asks Martin to ask the insurance company again where the money is.
