A text by Jürgen Witte - who dared to describe the neighboring Beate Uhse shop as a modern art installation - could no longer be conveyed to the squatters. A group of women disrupted the following performances and Dr. Seltsams Frühschoppen moved to the nearby Café Paz (Rosenthaler Straße in Berlin-Mitte).

In the autumn of 1994 Bov Bjerg and Hans Duschke left the morning pint. Sarah Schmidt became a new member. Hans Duschke returned after a few months.

In the autumn of 1996, the Kulturhaus Mitte canceled the lease with the Café Paz and the Frühschoppen moved to the recently opened Kalkscheune .

After Sarah Schmidt left in 2015, Susanne Riedel joined the Frühschoppens team in January 2018.

The morning pint likes to call itself the “mother of all reading stages”, since between 1996 and 2001 various reading stages ( love instead of drugs , avenue of enthusiasts , surf poets , successful writers in the shaft and shower boys ) were created from former contributors or viewers of the morning pint . However, the morning pint competes for the title of “mother of all reading stages” with the aforementioned “mocking newsreel”.

Reading has been taking place every Sunday at 1 p.m. for the past year.
