action

Jackie wants to learn Kung Fu to avenge his father's death. But the uncle, who has rejected all violence since the death of his brother, forbids Jackie to fight. Nevertheless, the disobedient boy secretly trains at a Kung Fu school. When he is chased away by the teacher there, Jackie meets an old beggar who continues to teach him. With unusual training methods, Jackie becomes a better and better fighter until he can finally get revenge on his father's killer in the final fight.

criticism

“The revision of one of the first productions with Jackie Chan, who was still called Chan Yuan Lung at the time. However, the film was only released in cinemas after Chan's rise to superstar in a new version tailored to his later image. Great effort to create an unimaginative Hong Kong product that tries in vain to loosen up its fights with jokes. "

background

Jackie Chan played his first leading role in The Cub Tiger from Kwang Tung , but the original version was shown only in limited numbers in 1973 in Hong Kong. When Chan made his breakthrough in the late 1970s, recycled material from other films in the genre, such as: B. They called it Bone Breaker , and the film was re-edited and released in 1979. In addition, a Chan double was signed for several new scenes. It was not published in English until 1981.
