action

The virgin farmer's daughter Gosia lived in a Polish village at the end of the 19th century. One day she goes for a naked swim in a pond and feels strangely observed. The next day she meets a man dressed in black at the same lake, who shows her a painting in which she can be seen naked. Gosia feels ashamed, but is not angry with the stranger. Soon afterwards the man shows her the beautiful sides of life, both sexuality, as well as music and food. He teaches her to read and teaches her table manners. Gosia's mother worries about her daughter's strange behavior and sends her to the church for confession. She then learns about her daughter's sexual thoughts from the pastor. Fearing pregnancy, she has Gosia examined by the doctor, who describes her as a virgin. The black-clad man then appears to Gosia at night in her hut. When the girl thanks him, the answer is: “That's what you dreamed of me”.
