The little Stowasser
Der kleine Stowasser is a Latin - German school dictionary which was edited and published in 1913 by Michael Petschenig based on the model of the "large" Stowasser by Joseph Maria Stowasser from 1894. Introduction and etymology come from Franz Skutsch .
Originally, the German terms were set in Fraktur and the Latin Antiqua , which was abandoned when it was revised in 1979.
The Stowasser (no longer Der kleine ... ) was edited again by Fritz Lošek in 1994. The colored linen cover of the anniversary edition was designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser , whose real name was Friedrich Stowasser and who is a descendant of the original dictionary author. The different colors of the cover, the dots on the cover and the headband result in hundreds of different possible combinations.
Another revision was published in 2016.
