Detlef Berentzen

Detlef Berentzen (pseudonym: Dr. Feelgood ; born February 16, 1952 in Bielefeld ; † July 18, 2019 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) was a German writer and journalist .

Life

Berentzen attended elementary school in Bielefeld, Westphalia, and then the Ratsgymnasium .

Since 1971, after completing his commercial apprenticeship (Oetker) and making his first attempts at writing, he has lived permanently in West Berlin . There he studied economics and philosophy, wrote columns for scene magazines, worked in children's shops and collectives. From 1981 he wrote for the taz , of which he was part of the editorial team and management.

Berentzen was the founder of the magazine "enfant t.", Which he edited for five years. Working as a freelance journalist and author since 1987, he has since produced features and documentaries on politics, culture and literature for the ARD radio and television stations. His texts are in newspapers, magazines and books.

He was a member of the Documentary Film Working Group (AG DOK).
