Detlef Gottschalck

Detlef Gottschalck (born August 27, 1963 in Hamburg ) is a German political official ( CDU ). From August 2010 to March 2011 he was head of the Senate Chancellery of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Farmsen , Gottschalck studied law in Hamburg from 1983 to 1989. He then became a research assistant for Klaus Francke (CDU), member of the Bundestag . From 1991 to 1993 Gottschalck completed his legal clerkship. At the same time he worked for the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament . In 1993 he received his doctorate from Hamburg University. From 1994 to 2004 and again from 2008 to 2010 he worked as a lawyer in Hamburg and Berlin.

After his tenure as State Secretary, Gottschalck moved to Haspa Finanzholding as head of the strategy and committees division in September 2011 .

From 2004 to 2008 Gottschalck was State Councilor for the Finance Authority and the Culture Authority .

A few days after Christoph Ahlhaus took office as First Mayor, Gottschalck was appointed State Councilor for the Senate Chancellery and State Councilor for Personnel Office on August 30, 2010 . After the Ahlhaus Senate was voted out of office, Gottschalck left office in March 2011. Christoph Krupp succeeded him as head of the State Chancellery .
