Dettmar Cramer (journalist)

Dettmar Cramer (born November 21, 1929 in Görlitz ) is a German journalist and former director of Deutschlandfunk .

Life

Cramer earned his doctorate in 1961 at the University of Kiel with a thesis on censorship in school and student newspapers. jur. He later worked as a correspondent for the FAZ in Bonn and in 1975 switched to the RIAS radio station in West Berlin . In 1986 he switched to Deutschlandfunk in Cologne . He initially worked as editor-in-chief, then as Deutschlandfunk program director and finally from 1992 to 1993 as artistic director until the merger with RIAS and DS Kultur to form a joint Deutschlandradio . Cramer has been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
