The German women's field handball championship in 1933/34 was the first uniform German women's field handball championship . Until 1933 there was no umbrella organization for handball in Germany. Therefore, several sports associations played their masters independently of each other. This year's championship was organized by the German Reich Committee for Physical Exercise (DRL). In the course of the conformity , the historically grown association areas have now been adapted to the political structures. 16 handball Gauligen emerged , the winners of which qualified for this year's German field handball championship.
This year's championship took place in the knockout system . The Eimsbütteler TV prevailed in the final on June 10, 1934 against VfR Mannheim with 6: 5 after extra time and became the first German women's handball champion.
