German handball championship (women) 1959

The second German indoor handball championship for women was held on February 28 and March 1, 1959 in Hamburg. The champions of the regional associations south, southwest, west and Berlin as well as two representatives of the organizing regional association north had qualified for the final round.
The six teams initially played in two groups. The two best placed progressed to the semi-finals, the two bottom of the group contested the game for fifth place. The German champions (in front of 1,000 spectators) were again the Hamburg club Eimsbütteler TV .
