Margin notes

The women’s 10 km competition was canceled after 1.25 km due to a thunderstorm and the result at that point was counted as the race result. The 25 km competition for women and men was also canceled due to a thunderstorm, at which point the leaders had completed 23.75 km.

For the first time, the 5 km races at German championships were held as pursuit races. The participants leave the starting area every 30 seconds in a drawn order. This form of competition was introduced because at the following European championships in Dubruvnik the 5 km should be carried out in the same way.
