German Rally Championship 2008

The 2008 German Rally Championship was held in six rallies between March 7th and October 18th, 2008. Hermann Gassner senior became the master .

Rallies and results

The season opener in March was the Oberland rally around Peiting in Upper Bavaria . With the Hessen-Rallye Vogelsberg one of the most traditional rallies in Germany followed. Around the Vogelsberg , a distance of around 430 kilometers was covered on two consecutive days, 140 kilometers of which were special stages. The main venues were the cities of Schlitz and Schotten . The Saxony Rally, the Eifel Rally and the Saarland Rally followed later. After the previous events were held almost exclusively on a hard surface, the season finale, the Lausitz Rally, was contested as the only pure rally on gravel.
