The German Thermometer Museum Geraberg is a technical museum in the historic center of Geraberg in Thuringia . It documents the development of temperature measurement from the beginnings by Galileo Galilei via contact thermometers to today's technical determination of temperature using resistance thermometers , thermocouples and electronic measuring methods.

The museum was established in Geraberg, as technical glass instrument production has a long tradition in this area of the Thuringian Forest and was a major branch of industry in the past. Numerous exhibits come directly from the region, for example from “glassmaking villages” such as Gehlberg or Stützerbach as well as from industrial production in the 19th and 20th centuries in Ilmenau and Geraberg themselves.
