German Gymnastics Festival 1958

The German Gymnastics Festival in 1958 took place in Munich .

40,000 people attended the festival, 31,310 of whom were active gymnasts.

The four oldest clubs, the Hamburg gymnastics club from 1816 , the Mainz gymnastics club from 1817 , the Riemann Eutin gymnastics club from 1821 and the Offenbach gymnastics club from 1824 received special awards.

At the end of the festival, Federal President Theodor Heuss gave the speech in front of 40,000 people on Theresienwiese .
