A Dezett (of lat. Decem = "ten") is in the music , a group of ten performers, or a piece of music for such a group. In contrast to smaller ensembles, such as the string quartet , there is no fixed line- up here . In the French tradition, however, a double woodwind quintet is preferred .

Examples of a double woodwind quintet come from George Enescu ( Dixtuor op. 14 for 10 winds) or Darius Milhaud ( Dixtuor for 10 woodwinds). Examples of this instrumentation from the 19th century are Joachim Raff's Sinfonietta op.188 and Salomon Jadassohn's Serenade for Woodwinds op.104.

Examples of mixed scoring of wind and string instruments are Benjamin Britten's Sinfonietta , op.1 (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon, 2 violins, viola, cello and double bass) or Dixtuor by Jean Françaix in the same combination.

In the field of jazz, however, ten musicians are called Tentett (from English: "ten" = "ten").
