Diana Hayden (* 1. May 1973 in Hyderabad , Andhra Pradesh ) is an Indian model and Bollywood - Actress . She won the Miss World title in 1997 .

life and career

Diana Hayden was born in Hyderabad and has Indian and British ancestors. After attending St. Ann's High School in Secunderabad , Hayden completed a degree in English at Osmania University in her hometown.

In 1997 she won the Miss India title, which was followed by the Miss World freestyle in the same year. Diana Hayden was the third Indian Miss World. She thus succeeded the Greek Irene Skliva and was replaced by Linor Abargil in 1998 .

Following her success and the popularity that came with it, Hayden began a career as a film actress in Bollywood , the Indian film industry. She studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in Great Britain. Diana Hayden made her film debut in 2001 in a film version of William Shakespeare's Othello . Since she had not made her breakthrough in Bollywood, the native Indian moved to Los Angeles .
