Dick O'Neill (born August 29, 1928 in New York - † November 17, 1998 in Santa Monica , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Dick O'Neill starred in over 50 films and series between 1957 and 1998 and had around a hundred guest appearances in various television series. In 1974 he played the dispatcher of the New York subway, Frank Correll, in the thriller Stop the Death Ride of Subway 123 . In the television series Hör mal, werd there hammers , he played the former craftsman Art Leonard , in the award-winning TV series "Cagney & Lacey" he was Charlie, the father of Christine Cagney (Sharon Gless).

He died on November 17, 1998 of complications from a heart attack.
