Dicoy Williams (born October 7, 1986 in Kingston ) is a Jamaican soccer player who has been under contract with Toronto FC in Major League Soccer since 2011 .
Career
society
In his early days as a professional, Dicoy Williams played exclusively in his home country of Jamaica and started in 2005 at record champions FC Santos Jamaica , but moved to Arnett Gardens FC that same year . He joined Harbor View FC in 2007 . With Harbor View FC he won the Jamaican National Premier League in 2010 and was one of the key players in this success. Due to his consistently good performance, the Norwegian second division team Mjøndalen IF became aware of him and invited him to a trial session.
In March 2011 Williams completed a trial training at the Canadian club Toronto FC . In Toronto he impressed coach Aron Winter and signed a contract on March 31st. Just two days later he made his league debut when he came on for Nana Attakora-Gyan in the second half in a 1-1 draw against CD Chivas USA .
National team
On August 12, 2009, he made his A international debut for Jamaica against Ecuador at Giants Stadium . At the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011 he was one of Jamaica's 21 squad . In the 4-0 win over Grenada in the first group match he played from the start, in the second group match in the 2-0 win over Guatemala he had to be replaced in the 10th minute due to a knee injury.
