Golden CD Oststeirer Trio

Die Alpenrocker are an Austrian band from Southeast Styria .

history

The alpine rockers were founded as the East Styrian Trio in 1982. In 1983, Hans Koelldorfer took over the managerial position through Heli Konrad ( Steirische Harmonika ) and in 1984 appeared with Manuela on Karl Moik's show Musikantenstadl . In 1987 the band was renamed "Oststeirer" and Manuela's little sister Alexandra took over the front vocals. A little later she competed with Andy Borg at the Grand Prix of Folk Music .

1987 to 1992 the "Oststeirer" completed tours in Australia , the USA and Europe. In 1994 they started with the new guitarist and singer Werner Poglits and released the album "Las Vegas".

In 2002 new band members were added: front woman / singer Tina Koch, bassist Christian Höller and drummer Sigi Willmann. The CD "Weekend Partytime" was released and hit the charts. The group completed open-air concerts in Germany and Austria. In the following year Joachim Scherz took over the keyboards and back vocals, Sepp Spiegel the drums and Alexandra became the front singer again for a short time.

In 2004, Igor Radivoj-Mrvica, a male lead singer and frontman, joined the band for the first time. This was followed by the Tunisia tour and the first visit to China , as well as numerous appearances in Germany, Holland , Croatia and Austria.

In 2005 the band started with a new hit in the Styrian dialect "Stoarkes Land" and returned to the charts under the new name "Alpenrocker & Igor". Two years later, Igor Radivoj took over the position of band leader and also worked as a manager. Ernst Grieshoffer stepped in as the drummer for Europe and Helfried “Friday” Grygar as the drummer on the China tour.

In 2010 the “Alpenrocker & Igor” were on a promotion tour in China with the new singer Daniela Kirtscheva. The year 2015 began with a new line-up: Sarah Victoria Reiter, Sandi Fras, Darko Pavlesic, Daniel Karl Muhr and Nikolaus Georgiades were added. Also in 2018, the band went on their annual China tour.

In 2020, the band consists of Igor Radivoj, Hans Kölldorfer, Daniel Karl Muhr, Deni Cop, Gernot Hochstöger and Yvonne Gundacker.
