The Tin Pirates is an American action film from 1974. It was directed by HB Halicki , who also wrote the screenplay, was producer and star.
action
Insurance detective Maindrian Pace and his team lead a double life as unstoppable car thieves. His actual job suits him very well, because Pace never steals uninsured cars. When a South American drug lord pays Pace to steal 48 cars for him, the thief got all but a 1973 Ford Mustang . But getting this too is not really a problem for the clever thief and the item you are looking for is found quickly. As Pace prepares to steal the car in Long Beach , he doesn't know that his boss has long since told the cops about him after a business dispute. So the police are waiting for him, but Pace is not that easy to be caught and a merciless chase begins that leads Pace through five cities.

criticism
“Long-winded pursuit of a cunning car thief who finally escapes the large police force. The tech western culminates in a slow-motion sequence in which the pursued yellow Mustang leaps into freedom in a bold leap over several wrecks: a showdown of a car opera. "
Remake
In 2000, the substance was entitled Gone in 60 Seconds by Dominic Sena with Nicolas Cage filmed again.
