history

The band was founded in 1990 by Bernadette Hengst , Peta Devlin , Karen Dennig, Barbara Haß and Katja Böhm. The band suffered from starting difficulties because no label was interested in them. The first self-titled double single could only appear with the financial support of friends. Their musical role models were The Liverbirds , a British girl beat band from the 1960s, which had previously performed in the Hamburg Star Club. In 1994, the women's band released their self-titled debut album on Sony BMG Music Entertainment . After the release, Barbara Haß left the band. Without a second female guitarist, the work What will I take with me? released. The band then toured Germany and America, among other places. In 1997 the bride skin in the eye played at the largest Russian rock festival in Saint Petersburg . The album Pop ist tot was released in 1999 .

In 1999 the band decided to split up. Finally, a live album called +1 on the guest list was released in 2000 , which combined all the relevant songs of the band. It was released on Hengst's own label, BH Records. The farewell tour took place from April to May 2000.

After the band broke up, Bernadette La Hengst began a solo career, Peta Devlin played with Cow and Grandma Hans .
