Peta Devlin (* around 1968 in London ) is a musician and music producer living in Hamburg .

musician

Devlin left England as a young woman and started as a street musician in Hamburg in mid-1990. There she met her long-time partner Thomas Wenzel (Die Goldenen Zitronen, Die Sterne) and Bernadette La Hengst , whose musical ideas were similar to her own. At their suggestion, she then became the bassist and singer of the Hamburg band Die Braut is eye-catching , and stayed with it for ten years. After they broke up in 2000, she played - interrupted by a pregnancy break in 2005 - with Grandma Hans until 2006 and since then with Hoo Doo Girl, where she plays guitar and drums in addition to bass. In addition, an alternative country project called Cow has existed since 1999 with Thomas Wenzel ( Die Sterne , Die Goldenen Zitronen ), Ecki Heins ( Fink ) and Thomas Butteweg (Incredible Sinalco Bums) .

In 2013 and 2014 she was involved in Bela B's album Bye . Devlin appears as a background singer and not nice as his duet partner in the song they wrote together . Also in 2014 she went on tour with Bela B. and the country band Smokestack Lightning. In autumn 2014 the debut album of their new band Mars needs Women should be released, published on Bela B's label B-Sploitation. The other members of the band are old acquaintances from their music career: Barbara Hass, like Devlin, formerly in Die Brautscht ins Augen and Susie Reinhardt from Hoo Doo Girl.

Here, together with Rautenkranz and Thies Mynther , she produced the superpunk album once superpunk please! and worked with Blumfeld and the stars . In 2007 she produced Schrottism by Schrottbound and in 2009 It's Cold Outside And The Gnome Is You by Tenfold Loadstar . Together with Jens Rachut , she also produced radio plays for the radio.
