Tenfold Loadstar is a German indie pop band from Hamburg , which was founded in 1999 and currently consists of three members. The band is currently under contract with Normal Records . It received greater attention with the title Sun and Rain , which Union Investment used for a long time as a promotional song.
history
The band Tenfold Loadstar was founded in 1999 by Caro Garske ( vocals and guitar ), Björn Matthias ( drums ), who later left the band, and Felix Wiesner (guitar, vocals). The first demo recording Acto convinced the record label XXS Records , so they got a contract and moved to Hamburg on the Elbe. There they produced their first album of the same name together with Thies Mynther .
In 2004 they produced their second album Mellow Garden with Olaf Opal and Gregor Hennig , which was released by L'age d'or . After this album Björn Matthias, who was responsible for the drums, left the band for private reasons, according to the official website. Tenfold Loadstar got reinforcements for the 2004 tour with Gundi Voigt (vocals) and Lars Horl (drums). In 2005 Tenfold Loadstar also started another tour with the sensible title "Two women - one machine", because the tour was only carried out by Garske and Voigt, who were accompanied by a drum machine .
In 2006, in collaboration with producer Peta Devlin, the album It's Cold Outside and the Gnome Is You was created , which, unlike its predecessors, works without any electronic elements and was celebrated in the press as a mixture of delicate folk and elegiac widescreen pop.
In 2007 Gregor Hennig joined Tenfold Loadstar as a drummer.
