Olaf Opal

Olaf Opal (also OLAF Opal or Olaf OPAL ; bourgeois Olaf Wozniak ) is a German music producer and lives near Bochum. He also works as a mixer for many of his publications .

Life

Olaf Opal began his career as a producer in the early to mid-1990s in the punk and indie sectors ( Boxhamsters , Spermbirds , later The Notwist , Naked Lunch and others). In 1998/99 he began to gain a foothold in the pop world with the Liquido debut single Narcotic and the subsequent album Liquido .

Since 2003 he has been the regular producer of Juli , with whom he worked on the majority of their debut album Es ist Juli and the follow-up album Ein neue Tag (including the live album Ein neue Tag - live and the DVD of the same name). For Sportfreunde Stiller (whose EP Thonträger he had also produced in 1998) he worked on the 2006 album You Have to Win Zweikampf . In 2011 he worked as a producer for the band Klee (album: Aus Lauter Liebe ) and the band Auletta (album: Make Love Work ). He produced the album Aus Lauter Liebe together with Jochen Naaf . In 2014 he produced their tenth album Flucht in die Flucht for Die Sterne .

For his work on Ein neue Tag and You Have to Win Zweikampf he was nominated for the 2007 Echo in the Producer of the Year category.
