Auletta is an indie rock - band from Mainz . The band was named after the town of Auletta in Italy, which they crossed during a vacation together in the summer of 2006.

history

The band was formed in 2005. However, it was only after Alexander Zwick and Martin Kloos returned from stays abroad in England and Spain that serious work as a band began. In 2007 she performed with Art Brut and the Kilians, among others . In 2007 she reached the Central European Final at the Emergenza competition . In the same year she also won the Rockbuster competition . At the end of 2008 she signed a record deal with EMI . Her first album Pöbelei & Poesie was released on June 26, 2009 . The song My City on it is included in the game FIFA 10 .

On October 1, 2010, the band represented the state of Rhineland-Palatinate at the Bundesvision Song Contest and took 14th out of 16 possible places. On August 12, 2011, Make Love Work , the band's second album, was released and reached 36th place in the top 50 of the German album charts.

In October 2018, the band reported back via social media and announced that they would produce and publish the third album on their own. The financing was set up and successfully set up via crowdfunding.
