The Fly is a Hungarian animated short film by Ferenc Rófusz from 1980. The film does not contain any dialogues.

action

From the perspective of a fly , the viewer follows its flight through a forest and across a meadow into a house. Here the fly flies through the hallway and finally ends up in a living room, flies against a pane of glass several times and settles down on the wall clock, among other things. You can hear steps. The fly escapes the fly swatter several times, but is hit in the end and carefully impaled in an insect box.

Awards

In 1981 the fly won the Oscar in the category “ Best Animated Short Film ”. It was the first Hungarian animation film to be awarded an Oscar.

Director Rófusz received the Don Quixote Award at the Krakowski Festiwal Filmowy in Kraków .
