The Funkhausgruppe is a music project that currently consists of the bands Die Perlen , Hertzinfarkt , Sunburn and Welle: Erdball .
history
The foundation stone of the Funkhausgruppe was laid in 2007 at the “Hörerclubtreffen”, the official fan club meeting of Welle: Erdball, at which all four bands were present. With the song Alone in the Funkhaus , the first song of this cooperation appeared on an EP of the group Die Perlen in 2009 . The first album, Mono-Poly , was released on June 24, 2011 through the SPV label Synthetic Symphony. This was followed by a placement in the German Alternative Charts at number 14.
On July 17, 2011, the first and so far only live performance followed on the “Mainstage” of the Amphi Festival , in which all twelve members of the bands making up the Funkhausgruppe stood together on the stage. In addition to their own songs, covers such as “Sweet Dreams” or “We trust ourselves something” were also part of the repertoire.
style
The music of the Funkhausgruppe can be described as a sound shaped by the Neue Deutsche Welle culture with German-language texts. The band consists of the twelve members of the participating bands, almost all of whom are also involved in the project with vocals.
Above all, the song Die Physiker , which is reminiscent of Kraftwerk and was published in the form of a professional music video in February 2011, became known. According to Honey, a member of the participating project Welle: Erdball , it is based on Friedrich Dürrenmatt 's play of the same name .
