Miss Plastique (2013)

Fräulein Plastique (born August 20, 1986 in Bückeburg , Lower Saxony ) is a German musician and singer in various music projects as well as an alternative model. Among other things, she was a permanent member of the music group Welle: Erdball from 2005 to 2013 .

person

Miss Plastique was until 2013 as Plastique next to Miss Venus the female voice of the band Welle: Erdball , to which she belonged since 2005, instead of Soraya, who left at the end of 2004. She first appeared on the album Chaos Total (2006). She has been the singer of the Homo ~ Futura project since 2005. She played the lead role in the music video for the single Links - Rechts (2011). Since 2007 she has also been a member and one of the singers of the Funkhausgruppe band cooperation .

In 2009 she was criticized occasionally because she sang the song Let the World with the Sun Go Down on the album Germanium Metallicum for the music project Von Thronstahl by Josef Maria Klumb, which is often viewed as right-wing extremist . In a statement, Plastique distanced itself from “any right-wing ideas and racial ideologies”, but also spoke of a friendship with Klumb and described him as a “veteran of punk rock”.

In 2010, parallel to her other musical engagements, she started her own project The Girl & the Robot together with the Swede “Deadbeat”.

In contrast to the other English-language songs on the album, she sang the single Borderline in Swedish. In the same year, Miss Plastique relocated to Malmö , Sweden , on the one hand to reduce the distance to her studio there and on the other hand because of her partner who lived there and whom she later married. In July 2013, she announced her departure as the singer of Welle: Erdball.

On February 14, 2014, the album Feindbild by the band Nachtmahr was released , on which Fräulein Plastique is singing on the cover of I Hate Berlin .

identity

Miss Plastique tries to hide her bourgeois identity and origin. She calls herself Antonia or Marlene Tilda Mikaelsdóttir .
